This is a super High Performance summer tire for track days dry conditions.
GM and Goodyear worked on this one together to control the terminal understeer that the G5 Camaro SS had this1LE option changed it into a neutral car. (a handling characteristic of an automotive vehicle that causes it to turn less sharply than the driver intends because the front wheels slide to the outside of the turn before the rear wheels lose traction.)You can also use it for backroads rides. If this is your top priority then this is your tire. No it won't last60K miles and in the rain you must be carefull the rain groves are small. The G3 version of this tire is a track onlytire look at the lack of rain groves that one is a single purpose track tire for dry conditions.

They're summer tires
2015 Camaro SS 1LE owner - I see some people complaining about these in cold weather... I mean when you go against what they say is they're intended purpose is, things tend to not go your way. But here I am, been driving with these tires for a little over two months in the winter (granted during snow and so forth car is in garage, only drive when roads are clear). Yes these tires feel like a horse buggy wheel in 20 degree weather until you ride for a few miles and start to warm up/soften up. These tires grab every groove in the road. These are not easy tires to get used too if you've never been on a slick type of tire before. They ride way different than a treaded tire (they all do). Now on a warmer day (highest temps I've had so far 65-67F) these really stick once warmed up. I rode around for 20min, went on a back straight away, revved car to 3,000rpm released clutch and she stuck solid through first (hit 4,000rpms) and 2nd (hit 4,000rpms) and eased off. Went on a mtn cruise with a few friends in their cars and with these tires on that curvy mtn going up and coming down doing 80-90 around curves with no problems at all (everyone eventually put me in front because they had to keep slowing down). They are now talking about purchasing these tires for this summer. Now while these are cold i have been in 3rd going down the road and revved to 3,000rpms spinning. But all in all these do stick like super glue in warm weather and well don't do well in cold temps as stated if people would do their research before jumping on tires. As for rain I'd imagine again you will run into issues (again, another type of weather my car doesn't go out in with these tires). I'm giving these a 4/5 because like I stated, they grab every little crevice in the road and when I first started riding I thought something had happened to my alignment it was pulling back n forth so much then realized some roads are just in bad shape.

Junk! Came stock on my GT500 and these are ...
Junk! Came stock on my GT500 and these are known as hockey puck tires. If you drive these under 40 degress you are asking for major trouble.

Great on Track, Scary on Street
As one reviewer mentioned, as an OEM tire on a GT500 these things are scary especially with 600ft/lbs in colder weather. Even in warm weather I've never been able to get them to hook at any psi for normal street driving. However, I use my OEM wheels and these Supercar G:2 tires for road course duty and they do great. Not as good as an R compound tire obviously, but perform admirably and I've gotten many track days out of them.
