For a low sodium product these little fillets are very tasty. Great on a Triscuit, especially the herb ones, which are also lower sodium. Tasty, healthy snack or lunch with a piece of fruit.

These are very mild and do not have a strong fishy taste like most kippers. My husband loved them.

Maybe I’m just used to less salty food, but I found this very salty. It was a nice change though.

I used to buy these when I was a teen and eat them with a few saltines in place of sardines. They're a great way to quickly get a fishy fix to satisfy a craving. It'd been awhile since I'd bought them but they're still delicious and affordable.

Used it for a night snack. Liked that they were packed in water, not oil. Very good flavor. Goes great on a saltine cracker.

This is a "Product of Germany" and it is packed "in brine and own juice" (i.e. NO oil). This is my first purchase (of 18 tins) priced at $1.66 per can. (which I consider an excellent price)Each relatively "thin" tin holds, what appears to be, a "single" 3.5 ounce fillet (about 3"x5" but only about 1/4 inch thick). This would be fine for a single sandwich.The fillet was very tender yet firm (NOT mushy) with a only a light fishy and smoky flavor and it seemed very lightly salted and as advertised..............I found NO bones!The only reason I did not give this product "5 Stars" is that if the product is being sold as "Kipper Snacks" then the package should contain at least 2 fillets. My guess is the company, POLAR FOODS, is spending more money on the "EXCELLENT" packaging than they are on the product it holds.

Fond memories of ramen noodles and Kippered snacks as supplementary meals to Army fare while in the forests of Germany on maneuvers."Brunswick" is what I was familiar with but price per unit made me give these a try.Flavor of is better than my memories... smoke is not overpowering and salt is not as heavy as the product mentioned above. Awesome would be an appropriate description.Portion size per can keeps this in the "snack" zone... 2 cans for a canteen cup of noodles would make it a meal... but perfect for a protein supplement to anyones day as it is.Yummy! Buy it!

Pretty good, but doesn't have the smoked flavor nor the amount of fish as other brands in the same price range.
