Works well on 55 psi
I haven't used these yet to know their longevity, but I have tested them hooked up to my hose set up for reseeding areas of my backyard, happening next month. I have the PSI in my house set at 55 PSI. Originally, I bought two impulse-type Ortho sprayers on spikes to run in tandem, but the second impulse sprayer barely worked. I then bought two of these geared Ortho spike sprayers, and I am very pleased that they both spray very well when hooked up together on one hose. If you are having the same problem, these could be your solution. Also, for some reason, the units without a spike (shown with a 1/2" threaded screw on the bottom) seem to be more expensive, but I discovered the ones on a spike unscrew from the spike (exposing the same 1/2" threaded screw on the bottom, they are the same) and you can then screw to a tripod or however you want as long as it has the 1/2" diam. threads. I am using a tripod with an impulse sprayer and plan on trying this Ortho Geared sprayer on the tripod and see if I need to buy another one for that. Currently, the tripod is on a separate hose and timer, not trying to run all of them at the same time.

Quiet rotary sprinkler that covers the whole yard without puddles
Hooked the Orbit H2O-6 to my garden hose, stepped the spike into North Carolina clay, and had water spinning in under a minute. The gear drive turns smoothly and almost silently, far less sputter than an impact head, so I can run it at 6 a.m. without waking the baby. With the dial I can pick one of six spray patterns and the collar lets me set anything from a narrow wedge to a full 360°, which means the same sprinkler handles both a skinny side strip and our 35-foot-wide back lawn.Throw reaches the opposite fence at normal city water pressure, yet the droplets stay fine enough that seedlings aren’t knocked flat. After two weeks of daily use the stake still sits firm, no wiggling, and the plastic gears show no grit despite sandy soil splash. I do lift it out and rinse the filter screen once a week—takes thirty seconds and keeps the rotation from slowing. If you want a set-and-forget sprinkler that’s gentle on new grass, adjustable for odd-shaped beds, and quiet enough for early-morning cycles, this one earns its spot in the shed.

great for largeopen area
works great for large open spaces(60 ft), but for close (under 30 ft delivers less water, and at 2 ft it trims rose bush. diverter is ok but it splits the spray with small jets needs a flap to break jets for smaller ares , good for open lawn, but bad for next to structure you either wash wall or move head away from building and make an ark that misses the plantings near house

Durable, Precise, and Built to Last – I Love This Sprinkler!
After using the Orbit 58573N H2O-6 Gear Drive Sprinkler for the past three weeks, I can confidently say it’s one of the best sprinklers I’ve ever purchased. In a time when so many products feel cheaply made, this sprinkler stands out for its solid construction and quality materials. It feels like a unit that’s built to last—and I expect it will. The spray settings are incredibly intuitive and easy to adjust, giving you a wide range of flexibility to tailor your watering exactly how you want it. That level of control is a game-changer, especially for those of us who like things just right (fellow OCD folks, you know what I mean). In short, I absolutely love this sprinkler. It performs flawlessly, feels durable, and is easy to use—everything I could ask for in a garden tool. Highly recommended!

Great option for above ground
We needed an above ground sprinkler system. We paired these with timers and now our entire front side and back yard are covered. This is a great options for those who are trying to save money on the cost of inground sprinkler systems great coverage and different settings

Great coverage
Just got these for Prime Day. Super easy to set up and use. They have great coverage as well. Installed two in my front yard and it covers about 90% of the yard. I have a few more to install in the backyard. Will see how long they last.

There are better options
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The reviews seemed okay at a glance, but I'm hardly satisfied with this product. While it can spray 50-60' as advertised, the area between the sprinkler and the end of the spray gets nothing more than a light misting. It might be good for a very thin strip of land, but seek better options for a larger area.

Works good!
Easy to stake in the ground. There were no instructions but I was able to figure out how to set the area I wanted to cover. You can choose what type of spray you want such as high, medium, low etc.I only gave 4 stars since the setting to select a distance did not work and I had to go online to find instructions. All in all it works good watering the area I need.
