Mini Plastic Tongs

These were a lot smaller than I thought. I thought I was buying ones like what are in salad bar restaurants. These ones are only 4 1/2" long. That wasn't bad for my purposes, but the opening between the tips when not being held is only 1/4". I wanted something that opened wider than that. They are flimsy enough that by just holding them loosely (not applying pressure) the tips are basically closed - which makes it hard to pick things up.

I bought these for a project with my story time preschoolers where I work. They come twelve to a package and only four succumbed to preschooler brutality when four preschoolers attempted to test the durability of this product. I was expecting breakage when the project began and was happy that I only lost four tongs. They weren't expensive and I can replace the ones I lost. With normal usage I imagine they would last a long time.

I ordered these for a candy bar and they did the job but they are not something you would want to keep around. They don't grasp all that well and are pretty small. If you're looking for something cheap to trash after a party, they will work but you're not going to be able to serve anything heavy with them.

These tongs seem sturdy enough but they were too small for what I got them for (miniature cheesecake bites). The opening between the ends is less than an inch. I can't really imagine what they would be good for picking up.

These are great. I needed them for a candy bar. Just the right length and sturdy enough. I had purchased a pack of cheaper tongs. I threw them out...way too flimsy. These will work great.

We attempted to use these with several different items that were going to be on our serving line for a reception. They do not have sufficient "grip" to pick up hardly any item, light, soft, bulky or otherwise. We will not be able to use them even on the candy table. There is very little spread between the tips, and not hardly any grip to hang on to what you are trying to use. Replacing with a more usable stainless steel appetizer tong instead.

very very cheap material broke after 5 minutes

It does what it was meant to do but many of them did not survive the night.
