A Tension Filled Romance
Radclyffe really knows how to write a book with a wonderful balance of tension and romance.Liked the characters both good and bad.

Different for Radclyffe
The story and plot were okay but this was not the usual Radclyffe novel. Lots of angst and drama but the characters didn't have the mystique like her other books.Tess owned a dairy farm that she was trying to make organic and Clay blows into town to drill for gas on part of her land. Their past however, has not been forgotten and soon they are finding their way back to one another. The characters weren't developed enough to make me like them or care if they got together. Overall not my favorite Radclyffe.

really liked it
I really enjoyed this book. not only was it a good ol' lesbian fiction/romance book, but it also was very interesting to read because it wasn't JUST about that. there was everything with the farm and the oil rigs which made it a lot more intriguing than some of the other lesbian fiction i've read. the story was really well put together and the author made me love the characters. also, i live right in this area so it made it even more interesting to see a story written from someone else's perspective on the place i've lived my whole life. i would definitely recommend this!

An advertisement for the fossil fuel industry
You'd have a hard time convincing me that Barbara Bush didn't write this one. First lesbian romance I've read with unprincipled and unlikeable main characters.

Very good book
Radclyffe has done it again. Well developed plot. Clay and Tess were very sexy and their history was both passionate and poignant at best. They were teenagers when their world fell apart and stayed that way till they met again 15 years later. Their story picked up where they left off. Very well done!

Good read
This is a good one. Radclyffe manages to create tension between the main characters and what is not to love when they want to hit each other and kiss each other at the same time?I enjoyed it and hope that we get a second book that focuses on the support characters.

Wishing I was back home
Radclyfee mastered the dread of coming back home that many feel after trying to escape as well as the sense of belonging and the pull that tends to bring many back home. I loved the setting of the story as well as the characters and story line. Beautifully written. I can imagine the beauty of this farm and yearn to claim a piece of land for myself.

Not one of my favorites
I love her books but this one left too many issues open at the end and then just ended. It was nice to have tied to her other book with Leslie and Dev (Where Dreams Tremble or something like that). Great concept that left a lot to be desired in the end.

Excellent
I loved this book for reasons I'm not sure I can put into words. It was intriguing with the technical details because I know little about getting gas from the earth so I guess I learned a lot. But it was also about love and betrayal by the people closest to us. Great book, even better story. Read it with an open mind but also a open heart. You'll love it.

Another Great Read
What can I say another great book, betrayal, long lost love all comes back to Upstate New York when shale gas is found in a small rural town leading to greed and bad feelings.Good storyline with strong characters that is Radclyffe’s hallmark

This Blew me away
This book took me back to when I first discovered radclyffe. I was hooked from the very start. I haven't got so emotionally envolved in a book for a long time.

I liked it .
Although different to other Radclyffe books I've read I enjoyed the storyline, also we get to re visit Dev and Leslie from When Dreams Tremble, which was nice. It's quite a powerful story and well worth a read. Ange
