These are great q-tips for after surgery. But if you are germaphobe like me, you might think about sparing yourself the hassle of the individualized sterile wrapping. It's probably great for travel, or circumstances where you don't need a lot of q-tips, but I ended up regretting my choice to get the individually wrapped ones (2 to pack, not actually "individual"). As they were used for wound care after a surgery and we went through several q-tips in a session, it was a hassle to have to keep opening a new pack. But that's my bad, not the product - the product is perfect!

The cotton tip is tight rather than soft like a Q-tip which is an advantage for many uses. It also eliminates loose cotton fibers being left behind. I initially got them to apply ointment to stitches in my eyelids after surgery. However, they are very useful when a longer handle lets you get to other places, like your neck or wounds more conveniently that with a shorterQ-tip. The wood handle is stiff enough to apply lightly or strongly to the affected area. Some folks have reported problems opening the packets. Rather than fuss with trying to separate the tabs, I simply tear the end off just above the ends of the wood. I can pull one out and the wrapper is still long and tight enough to maintain decent sterilization for a short time on the other.

I bought these to use for packing a wound. These are difficult to open and drop onto a sterile field. I finally have figured out how to work with the packaging after playing around with them a while. Otherwise, these are great. No issues.

These are great- much needed for wound packing, they work very well, used hundreds and none have splintered. It’s a good size box and they are individually wrapped, 2 to a little package. Great high quality.

My son had surgery and we needed to continue wound care at home. These were just like what they used in the doctor's office. I love that they are sealed until you need them.
