The little notebook that could! and easy on the wallet, too!
I've been using this notebook for the last few days since I received it via USPS.I have owned all kinds of laptops, netbooks, ereaders and tablets. ASUS has really produced a jem. I have had NO problems using this for email, browsing, blogging. I am taking an online calculus course. I have had trouble free operations with every task.I really like this hardware.Ok it's not a high prices machine. But, in my opinion ASUS made hardware cutbacks to meet an excellent price point for a well functioning machine in it's class. Nice going ASUS!Two things that were down graded are the audio; sounds like a cheap transistor radio. But, I put on my good bluetooth headset... problem solved. When I first used the keyboard I noticed the plastic like sound. I didn't notice it, after a little bit of use, The keyboard is sturdy and I can't foresee any problems,; unless I handle it carelessly.I didn't have any gripes about the video resolution as stated in other reviews. It's very good for my purposesIt has Windows 10 loaded up. The SSD disk space is not much; 64 GB with 57.4 GB left after the OS is installled , plus, there is ASUS bloat wear that I removed . I have a wireless disk drive that solves any data storage problems I have. Plus , a 1TB portable disk I plug into the USB 3.0 connector in the right side of the keyboard and "ONEDRIVE", also, is at my finger tips. In comparison to other notebooks in the same price bracket, the ASUS Transformer had the most RAM, 4GB, instead of the others at 2GB. Also, the SSD is 64GB and other notebooks offered 32GB. If you want 64GB the price was higher for the others. The keyboard is connected to the USB buss by a strong magnet hinge assembly. It makes it very easy to go to tablet mode and back to notebook.I haven't had any software glitches. It slowed a bit with 5 or 6 active webpage tabs loaded, Hey. It's not an Intel i7,,,So, relax , enjoy the rideThis is ideal for packing in the old travel bag of choice and using it while your at school or trekking around the planet.

Nice case
The case is solid and the holes are all in the correct spots. I didn't give 5 stars because the bottom edge of the screen protector interferes with the Windows start button and quick launch area. I can work around it, but it is a bit of a pain. If you are using the mouse and keyboard, it doesn't really block enough of the view to matter. It does add quite a bit of bulk and weight to the tablet, but it is sturdy - so that is the tradeoff. One major disappointment. It stands well without the keyboard as long as I keep it in landscape (wide) orientation. If I try to turn it on its side, so that it looks more like a normal piece of paper when reading electronic books, the case is completely unstable and will not stand at all. The company didn't say that it would, so no false advertising there, but still a feature I would have liked to have had. When I asked the question prior to purchase, the responders must have misinterpreted the question because I received two Yes answers, but it clearly will not work.Like someone else, it took some effort to figure out how to make the case work with the keyboard on.

Does its' job, It looks cool. If red is for you, get this case!
THE GOODThis cover does the job, while looking cool. The picture makes it look off-red, but it's a nice saturated, vibrant red. The stippled texture isn't my thing, but makes sense on the red. It feels great too, I'm sure you can fool someone into believing it's real leather. The interior felt is soft, and should protect from scratches. Nice cut outs for speaker, camera, and accessory slots. I feel that the thick PU leather offers some good protection, while having a "notebook" style look to it. I think it's cool.THE BADThe band/loop is a very needed and necessary feature to keep the tablet together because of the space taken up between the tablet and keyboard, so its not a really snug fit. As with all tablet covers, it does make the tablet bigger....But I wasn't expecting it to be as big as my old T100TA tablet WITH it's (similar) case on it. I also find the bottom part of the cover (screen side) might be a little too close to the screen, thought with some effort, you can make this flush.THE VERDICTIf red is your color, get this cover. The pics do well to represent what it looks like, and it is a simple case with some nice features. You're gonna need that band/loop thing though.

Nice Case
Nice tablet cover at a good price, delivered on short notice. As you should expect, the cover doubles the size of the tablet. My wife wanted this and she loves it. Me, I don't like any covers on anything.... Good news is that I can take it off quickly and put it back-on just as fast, even though once it is on the tablet, it is on there securely. I also really like the fact that the back cover does not cover the stereo speakers (some have small holes, but this has a nice, large rectangular cut-out over each, which is NICE). We have not used it a whole lot - yet. But I will update this review if anything unexpected happens, or to report how well it has lasted after a few months' use on the road. We also picked pink hoping that 1) we will not leave it behind and 2) no self-respective thieve would be caught dead with a hot-pink tablet. Hope Springs Eternal.
