Q: What is the width of the seating area?

Mmmmm! You have a very simple plan on a single piece of paper:: nut/bolts do not explain why you have long screws. According to the “instructions” and the illustrations, there were six M6 bolts which in fact were M6screws. The pre-drilled holes to accept the M6 screws proved unable to provide a secure binding for the M6screws, resulting in an enlarged hole that did not:;this precluded the necessary binding of the arms to the supporting structure. The result was that after a new set of fixings after a protracted correspondence, when I ask and received a complete set of fixings; it seemed the extraneous screws, still were not correct. By this time I wanted my Adirondack Mango wood chair but we still had to devise a way of ‘fixing my chair. I am not happy as I wanted a ‘hardwood’ Adirondack chair, with a difference. I will put up with what I now have but AM NOT HAPPY. Your instructions are misleading and I now have a damaged chair, trying to find a suitable way to support the structure. I sm very, very disappointed.
