I'm on my fifth car and never even thought about the cap on my wiper fluid. But then I found out that even though I rarely replace my fluid and don't play with the cap like it's a toy, my 2014 Equinox apparently got short changed all the way down to the wiper fluid cap. Top part just detached/broke off and wouldn't stay on unless it was all one connected piece. Great way to lose wiper fluid; it all vanished without a cap on. At least it's a cheap fix for a cheapo part you never think about breaking. Hope this lasts longer than the OEM part.

The ring has a little piece that sticks out that fits inside of the notch on the reservoir neck. Gave 4 stars because the white painted windshield wiper fluid logo looks like my 3yr old painted it on. It's also fairly stiff, this will break off eventually. Buy the one with the cord connecting the ring and cap.

If I could give negative review, I would. First off it took over a month to get item. Second, as soon as I tried to install it broke in half. Don't waste your money.

Dropped the original cover into the engine compartment accidently (how else can you do this feat?) Unfindable, so ordered this, got next day with Prime. fits perfectly and has a notch to fit the water resevoir so it can't pop off into no mans land in your vehicle. recommend it.
