NOT adequate for Firestik II
Ive purchased two of these SS-3H through Amazon. They are NOT good support for Firestik 4' and 5' (60") antennas.

Item not described in ad correctly
What i ordered was a spring with a male and female end, what i received was a spring with male threads on both ends.

It's a sturdy easy to install value for your money spring!
Very durable in appearance and weight steel spring. It has an adjustable heavy duty mounting screw for CB antenna thread applications. Looks just like picture. Adds about 3 more inches of height to my antenna. I should be able to reach the Freedom Convoy much easier and look good doing it! Should give my antenna some good resistance flex.

Easy to install, but is having trouble holding a firestik up at highway speeds.
Works well, but really takes a beating with the 48" firestick that I use with it. Would be nice to have had a beefier option, but I couldn't find one.All said this would be great on a whip antenna, and while it is fine for the firestick, be careful as it will be waving the antenna around a lot.
