Bald Mannequin Head for Wigs Making and Display with Table Clamp

We purchased 10x of the above mannequin heads for apprentice hairstylist hair cutting training, very disappointed to find that the hair is not human hair, as it burns and frazzle even with using a 170 degree flat iron.It is more like nylon fibre hair, but the biggest problem is that it is impossible to be used for hair cutting training, as the hair cutting scissor is unable to cut into the nylon hair!Anyone trying to use it for training hair cutting can forget about buying this mannequin head! Waste of money!

Daughter seems very happy with this item for her level 2 hairdressing course so would recommend .But it's quite a shock to find a head secured to a breakfast bar at 6am .....please girls ....stop frightening your poor old dads !!!

Arrived the next day (Amazon prime delivery). Hair was soft and straight, definitely leaning towards ginger rather than blond but not bothered, still a pretty shade and light enough to show braids and textures when styled. Hair curled beautifully with a curling wand, did not singe or smoke. It does shed but not excessively so compared to other heads I've used. Have taken one star off as there were noticeable small clumps of short, broken? hair along the top of the head (see close up pic below) which I had to trim off. Apart from that, I am quite happy with the overall quality of the head..good thickness, length and colour..and the face isnt ugly or creepy! A good head all in all to practise hair styling on. (Have only used it for a couple of days so have yet to see if it will last under repeated combing, tugging and heat styling)

On arrival today I noticed that much of the hair around the “Root” was cut or broken, sticking straight up. The hair seemed very dry, frizzy and not great quality. It also smelt awful, so I gave her a wash and trimmed the broken hair around the face. After washing, deep conditioning and drying I am almost positive that it is mostly synthetic. I will have to test it tomorrow. At least it smells better now. I’m not overly impressed with the quality at all. She sheds a lot, I’d expected some but at this rate she’ll be bald in a fortnight! Wish I’d just sent it back straight away. Photos don’t do it justice. Hopefully I can treat it like synthetic hair and make it slightly better.

I am an adult hairdressing student and all I have to say is - Awful head! Small head circumference. Hair works under heat to style and curl but if you go too hot- melted hair. This to me is not 70% human hair. It's all synthetic. It wouldn't melt as much otherwise. Combing through you catch hairs looped at the scalp. I hadn't even used the clamp at it was already snapping. If you want my honest advice- spend the extra £20 and get one from salon Services! Dont waste your money on something like this.

Really good product and extremely reasonable. Hair is long, thick and obviously real and the combs included were an excellent bonus! My aspiring hairdresser will be thrilled.

Really great product - perfect for practising new styles - my daughter has been using it constantly since purchase. A fantastic birthday present! Ideal for budding hairdressers or professionals.

Bit pricey but of an acceptable standard. Bought for my Daughter to practice braiding...
