This product although not new arrived in poor condition. The case is frayed and scratched. Sound is just okay. Waste of money.

Before considering this purchase, I had a Jabra Bluetooth speaker I got on one of Amazon's "Today's Deals" for $20 when it retailed for about $100. Now I can't find it on Amazon to tell you the exact model. I live alone and enjoy listening to music while I get ready for work or do mundane tasks around the house. As more and more of my music is Prime-acquired or just on digital format, I began wishing I had a better speaker to accentuate the highs and lows of the music I have. Because of the cost of this speaker, I read reviews of this and several comparable Bluetooth speakers on CNET and watched a lot of comparison videos on YouTube for months. Trust me, listening to comparisons on the videos through a crappy Dell laptop speaker was not help at all, so I had to trust the judgment of the reviewer. Having said that, I know everyone has a different opinion about what might sound good at the top end of the speakers that are for sale. Sadly, I didn't have the luxury of listening to many of these speakers in person. But it seemed like most of the reviews I read said the Bose Soundlink Mobile II and Mobile III speakers were worth the money. I took the plunge and ordered the Mobile II because it came with a cover, while the Mobile III didn't, and the reviews I saw said they didn't see much difference in the sound of the two speakers. However, the Mobile III had a longer battery life.So, how do I like the Mobile II? I love it! First, I know some of the YouTube reviewers talked about the quality of the sound outdoors. I'm an "old guy" and I listen to my music indoors since it's just me and I'm not out at the beach or the park trying lure in the stray, single women. I've not field-tested this speaker outdoors. Indoors it's just great. I always place it on a counter against something solid like a corner or a wall of some kind which improves the already quality sound. The maximum volume is way more than I enjoy and I've not heard any distortion. Now, there may be another top-end Bluetooth speaker you like better because the treble, or maybe the bass, is more predominant, but you'd have to do your own field-testing to figure that out. As for me, I give this speaker an unqualified 5 stars.

great sound. Also, I don't have to unplug my phone and attach it to the speaker, I can play my music from my phone and take my Bose speaker to any room that I want. Awesome........

Great sound, awesome cover! The cover is a gorgeous charcoal gray made of durable material (the face is not black as it appears in the image). The cover attaches magnetically when closed, and folds perfectly underneath (and stabilizes the unit) when in use. This is last year's model, so the price is right - and I think it's better! The newest version has a separate, ill-fitting cover. This one is very chic and minimal. The sound is excellent. Grab one while you can.
