A lot of light for a modest cost
Wow! This light is great. I replaced a 65W fluorescent Security light fixture with this awesome 50W LED light fixture. The old fixture worked fine but the ballast died (no replacement ballast) this new LED fixture is great. More light less power consumed. Win, win. This 50W LED light, lights up our whole backyard. The only thing that could make this light better is a built in photo cell, although I don’t know where you would put it because the housing is quite thin. I purchased a separate photo cell which works perfectly with this light. The light is fairly directional, but it’s broadcast in a wide beam ~150° in width. The light output is easily about the same as a 300W halogen Security light, except this light is a much cooler 5000°K. Which IMHO is a useful color temperature for security lighting purposes. The build quality of this fixture seems to be very good. It feels solid & the Knuckle joint works as you expect it to. I must say that I’ve seen other fixtures that cost more and do not seem to be any better than this one.If you want a lot of light, & want to save $ on your power bill then this is the light for you.Do not look directly at this light when it is on. It is very bright, even in daylight!

Cant beat them for the price
I bought these lights to replace the old style halogen flood lights that I could no longer find bulbs for. Installing these was very easy being that there was already fixtures so hooking them up was as simple as undoing a couple wires and mounting them on the fixture. I was impressed with how bright they are and not to mention that my electric bill is 1/4 of what it would’ve been when the old lights were used. Overall very satisfied with them and definitely will purchase them again when the rest of my outdoor lights are upgraded.

WOW are these bright!!
Installed with no issues. They are a very bright Cool White. I was very surprised just how bright they are. I bought them to replace the Halogen bulb lights that kept going out on our business sign. These are so much brighter, be careful when you turn it on not to look directly at it for too long. I am not kidding. The one thing that concerned me was the fact that I have to have it facing straight up and there is a space between the glass and the frame that would hold water. I do not know how well it is sealed so I just ran a bead of silicone sealant around it. Hopefully this will last a long time since it is ran from dusk till dawn.Update-After 2 and 1/2 years they finally died.

These are Bright lights!
I love how Bright they are! These are no foolin' GOOD lights! Took about 15 minutes each to mount ....The screw seemed a trifle weak on one knuckle mount...but it held just fine....& they really light up a wall on our church & even the walkway too! I will now buy two more! The third one I bought had a problem...the screw that tightens the knuckle adjustment came so TIGHT from the factory that it was impossible to loosed and adjust! After much effort and a couple hours I got it loose but had to replace the screw . No good reason for this.

Won’t last a year.
I bought 4 of these less than a year ago. One failed almost immediately. I thought it was a fluke and bought 4 more because of how bright they were. Today, none of them work. All of them have bad emitters and the lights are only putting out about 5% of the “bulbs” that should be lit.Don’t buy these. They claim 50,000 hour burn time. I didn’t even get 1000 hours.

Orders of magnitude better than the halogen and fluorescent fixtures they replaced
For the price, I really thought it was going to be a piece of junk but I decided to take a chance anyhow as there was nothing reasonably priced at my local Home Depot or Lowes. Seems well built and is very bright. Ordered two more to replace the other lights in my backyard. Orders of magnitude better than the halogen and fluorescent fixtures they replaced. Hopefully they will last.

Bright lights, but a better reflector and better design on the knuckle would make them a much better light!
Overall the light is very bright and functional assuming the knuckle doesn't fail (which happened on 2 of the 4 I purchased).A couple of items to note:1) Because it is so slim, the reflectors really do not do any good, so the light is thrown everywhere. This means it doesn't make much of a difference where you aim them. Typically floodlights do not exceed a light angle of 120 degrees, but these appear to be closer to 180 degrees in all directions which means a fair amount of light it wasted pointing up, down and to the sides rather than flooding a specific area with light...even if you have it pointed at a downward angle.2) The design and casting for the knuckles appear to be pretty weak. 2 of the 4 I purchased had to be sent back because the screw wasn't able to be tightened at all. The threads from the screw weren't able to hold in the casting of the other half of the knuckle.Overall, these are very bright, and reasonably inexpensive.

The fixture is easy to install compared to the early versions I had
The fixture is easy to install compared to the early versions I had. If it lasts anywhere near its advertised life, it will be awesome, but after so many bad LED experiences, I will be happy with 3 years. The wire colors are USA standard, and have a nice length. The copper part of the wire is quite thin, so it takes some care to strip back the insulator sufficiently without cutting the copper. The knuckle screw is short, so some care is needed not to over-loosen and then lose the screw. Also, the cast knuckle has sharp edges inside, so if you have the knuckle apart to install the base, be careful not to cut into the insulator. I also got two 30W at the same time I bought the 50 W LED. The 30 W LED has a larger face, but is designed with a removable base that screws into the box or whatever base I may use. It is even easier to install, but the extra part and its machining probably makes it more expensive to produce. If all are still working by next spring, I will buy more to replace the halogens I have.

Good quality
Nice and bright. Much cheaper than buying a light from the store. We have it mounted above the garage on our farm, lights up a large distance. We will be buying more for other buildings

Final review - light is dead
**** Nov 11 2019 Final Update ****The light is now dead. I don’t recommend this item****Update Nov 1, 2019 ****The light didn’t last a year. Half the light is burnt out . I was hoping that this would have been a long life purchase but it won’t. I won’t be ordering another.***********Today is Nov 7/18 and I just installed the light.Follow up review to come in 6 months.First impressions went south very fast. The knuckle joint is held together with an extremely tight philips head bolt. Nearly rounded the head trying to separate the joint for installation. Found a screwdriver with a good fit and loosened bolt. That is the reason for 1 star off.Installation was as straight forward as any other device like this. Lots of wire to secure the light. Note: no marettes are included with lamp so make sure you have some to use. There is about 160 degrees of light that comes out. It is just bright enough for a rural setting. Too bright to use in urban setting. If this light is still operating without issue 6 months from now I will be recommending it. Time will tell.
