Avoid do NOT by this product
These lens protectors are impossible to install. I am amazing at installing screen protectors for phones and pride myself on it. However this is literally impossible and the problem lies in the material. It’s a plastic film…. Not a glass material. When you apply it you’re left with ridges that are impossible to remove leading to nothing but frustration. Do not get duped buying this. Avoid this **** product. Hope the actual company goes bankrupt at how many people bought this. It’s criminal and down right disgusting at how someone can profit off of this.

Great idea and concept! Slight learning curve on applying
This is a protective film for your sunglasses -- pretty much like a screen protector film you get for your cell phone.I think it's a great concept and cost effective approach to protecting your Oakleys! I have had Oakleys for years and while they aren't what they used to be, I still very much enjoy their lenses and the tints they create. I could go on and on -- but one of the biggest drawbacks of Oakley lenses is that they are polycarbonate (plastic) and ultimately, they scratch very easily. I have spent more on replacement lenses than I have on my initial investment into my Oakleys. These are a great concept and work well to provide some extra protection for your investments (and much cheaper than replacement lenses) -- but do have a bit of a learning curve to them to apply. I've gotten pretty good at applying screen protectors to cell phones, partly because I've done it a lot over the years, but also because cell phone screens are flat (mostly). The idea here is the same, but it is slightly hard since the lenses are curved. I messed up on my first attempt and only got 1 of the lenses right on my second attempt (effective wasted 75% of this product) but on the lens I applied correctly they work real well and have zero impact on the vision/clarity.I'd take your time and be prepared for a bit of a learning curve -- but if you get it down this is a great way to protect your investment.

Tedious to install *see edit
First, let me say that I love this concept. I have prescription Holbrooks and with the mirror coating it is always a struggle to make sure they don't get scratched. This product should really help. Ripclear sends you all of the supplies you need to make sure your lens is clean and ready to install. This is extremely important because a tiny spec of dust will mess up your install. The lens covers have two protective sheets (one on both sides) and the side that attaches to the glass is a little harder to remove which makes things tedious. After install you just need to smooth out the bubbles and you should barely be able to tell it is on there. My only complaint is that this comes with two sets of protectors and one of my sets had a crinkle in one of the protectors which made it unusable. I installed the other set and they seem to work well.My other concern with these is how they would affect the optics. My Oakleys have crystal clear optics and adding a plastic sheet has to have some affect on that, but my initial thoughts are that it is hard to tell. I will need to wear them for a few days and see if I can tell a change in clarity.Edit: After a week of wearing these I had to remove them. There is noticeable distortion caused by the protective covers was just too much. I had these on prescription Oakley lenses that had perfect clarity and with these installed they were worse than cheap gas station glasses.

Sunglass protectors
Doesn’t feel nor do my sunglasses look like they have a protector on them. Keeps my sunglasses free from scratches. Just like a screen protector. Highly recommend.
