BLACKHAWK CQD Mark 1 Type E

Dynamite knife. Purchased on Amazon and shipped from optics planet.com. It arrived on the first of three estimated delivery dates, after about a week wait.This knife is a beast, approximately 9 3/4 inches long when open (as long as my entire forearm) and 6 inches when closed. It's approximately 1 1/2 inches at its widest point (top of grip, almost acts as a hilt). It's not too thick though at roughly 1/3" .Feels Very solid and has stipling along the edges, grip tape-like inserts on flat sides for great retention.Blade folds and holds dead center and has no play. It came very tight so opening is not just a simple flick, but probably for the best as you will not want the 3 3/4 inch blade coming open on its own. Push button to close, we'll see how it holds up but appears to be high quality for now. Blade is AUS 8A, made in Taiwan.Tip down carry only. Glass breaker study on top may poke at your hip if carried in front pockets. Probably better for carry in cargo pocket.for comfort if it doesn't make the pant leg flop too much while walking.Seatbelt cutter blades appear okay, not tested yet. Covered in hard plastic which comes to a point at the bottom. Has a hole for lanyard or paracord.This will be my work knife for law enforcement work. I believe as a right of passage every boys threshold into manhood should involve getting this knife. I had researched and researched for an everyday knife/duty knife for months and came to the decision that the mark 1 was what I wanted. It's nice and big at 9 1/2" extended and doesn't get swallowed in your hand. The weight is perfect and doesn't feel inferior at all compared to the aircraft machined aluminum stalk...at $245 my wife would have killed me!!! The quality is recognized soon as you pick it up and extend the 3 3/4" blade. It makes a great solid ping noise when you flip the blade open and has NO wiggle to it at all. Solid knife. Mine came in super sharp. While at the theater last night it somehow caught something while getting up to leave, and while searching for it in the dark I managed to cut my finger. Found it!! : ) SHARP! The only thing I could even think about saying negative about this knife is that the carbide glass breaker tip will bite you if your carless while putting/hanging/resting your hands in your pocket. You will not regret buying this knife!

I bought this knife because it is a folder that has self defense characteristics that I like. Although most folding knives don't have hilts that protect your hand from sliding down on the blade, this one has a close approximation of a hilt. The handle flares out and becomes hilt-like. Also, there are raised tabs that you can brace your thumb against. The blade is very sharp and has serrations that will be functional. It's a good knife to carry in one's car because it has a glass breaker and seatbelt slicer for those deadly emergency situations when one needs to get out of a vehicle quickly. It does not have a spring assist for opening, but the thumb knob and a wrist flick work reasonably well. I will likely use some WD-40 on it to make opening easier. It is probably a bit too big and heavy to carry around all the time in one's pocket comfortably, so improvements such as reduced weight and spring assisted opening would be good.

Bought this one to replace my first one lost on duty. One of the best knives I have ever used both in a fixed and foldable capacity. Well worth the price, and definitely a much less expensive and less heavier version than the Masters of Defense Duane Dieter CQD 1...

the knife keeps a nice sharpe edge and in my line of work a dull knife could mean the spilt second of life or death . The window break tool does work good for emergency exatraction and strap cutter gets the job done the knife is easy to maintain a person could totally disassemble The knife and clean it and put it back together without any problems over all a well made knife

First impression I thought is this to big but then now I have become more accustomed to the size it does not bother me at all. The seat belt cutter works just great,cant tell ya about the glass breaker but i am sure it will preform good if the need should arise. The lock works great the thumb stud works good and deploys fast, the button lock is very useful and the secondary lock works good also. I would recommend this knife to any 1 who is looking for a combat/utility folder.

Great buy and it does all it says, cuts a seat belt like butter and knocks a window flat out.......I am a concealed carry person and survivalist and this tool is one I recommend for anyone in the same state of mind. I don't carry it, it's a bit to uncomfortable for that but it's in my console of my truck or bug out bag when I need it.If you want to be prepared , this is a good one to put on that must have list.

Partially serrated blade, strap cutter with accessible blades for sharpening, carbide glass breaker tip, skeletonized handle, dual blade locking features and you never have to put your hand in the blade path to take it down... What's not to love about this knife?!

ファブルを見て買いました重量感もあり、しかもベルト切りやガラス割りもあって何かあった時に普通に使えそうです

持って歩きたくなるくらい良いけど飾っています。
