It's all about ergonomics
The thumb grip of my little gem X-E3 is one of very few issues I have this camera. The Lensmate thumb grip just makes sense. I have one on my X-T2 and use it to whip around much bigger lenses than I'd use on the X-E3. I held off spending the $$ to see if I would be OK without the grip, but after two months I decided that it probably would be worth having. It is.

Outstanding addition to the X-E3
By design the X-E3 is small. But the smallness does reduce the grip area. This small addition makes the grip 100%+ better. Now I have the best of both worlds – small camera that is easy to grip. I also got the soft button addition. That is fantastic as well. Yes, it is pricey... But so was the camera. A year from now I'll forget the price but I will still be enjoying the ergonomics.

Thumbgrip for Fujifilm XE3
This thumbgrip is so essential to comfortably gripping the XE3 I can't believe it's not a standard part of the camera * Pricey but it makes the difference
