Great product
Well made and does what its supposed to. I used these to connect my Echo Dot which is in my bedroom, to the amp which is stored in another room downstairs (approx 10 -15 meter run of cat 6 cable), which in turn is connected to the ceiling speakers in my bedroom. Sound is fine, however, there is slight bass distortion at higher volumes; which i would never play that loud in this scenario. For this reason, it gets 4 stars. The item was perfect for my need.

Perfect for connecting to a surround sound amp 15m away from my mixer...
Bought this to get the output from a mixer on the other side of the room to a surround sound amp. Having tried a long RCA cable first and getting a big lag I tried this not knowing much about how the signal is sent using the cat5/6 cable. I used a 15m cat6 cable with this and the lag was gone and the sound was clearer. I just presumed that cables were cables but after seeing how bad the long RCA cable was at getting the signal to reach across the room, I now know to use an adapter like this to preserve the audio signal and quality over a distance longer than a meter!

These work OK, but note that the internal transformers ...
These work OK, but note that the internal transformers used to convert to balanced line are not shielded, and they are low impedance (about 40 ohms). This is OK if driving from a headphone socket, but some equipment may not have the power on line outputs. Also, there is significant distortion at bass frequencies (drums in particular) at higher driving levels (e.g. headphone volume at maximum). I only tested over a 10m cable - worked OK with adequate quality over this distance if used carefully - but they are cheap after all, and OK for the money.

Worked great
Honestly I was sceptical that this would workPlugged it in and it worked, just like thatI personally can't notice any loss over quality over Cat5 or Cat6I bought it because I have ethernet cabling built into the walls of my house and wanted to route speakers around the house and this was a great solution.

Works well...
Pleasantly suprised by these. They work well and the sound signal is transmitted as promised. I have yet to fully test them in terms of a working environment and will post an update accordingly.
