Great little amp, mine came with 3a power supply
Amazing little amp. This one came with a 3A power supply. I'm using this for my TV and plan on getting a few more for some in ceiling speakers throught the house. Like others say these sound great and never get hot. I was using an audiosource amp before this but this amp sounds better for some reason. It's nice to have the bass and treble controls and they do make a difference in the sound for me. Also, both inputs work are always active. I have a Chromecast audio connected to the 3.5mm input and can play music on the same speakers I use for my TV.

Love Love Love the Lepy!
First I need to clear up a misconception. People are talking about 20 watts like it's low power, cheap, and insufficient. The heydays of Hi-Fi were the '70s and '80s. Pioneer was by far the most popular manufacturer of receivers. They were big, heavy, and powered monstrous speakers. I guess people forget they were only 15 watts. Most of your listening is less than ONE watt RMS. The difference was these had massive transformers and massive capacitors to manage the peaks. Today, electronics are much smaller and more efficient. For less than $20 you can replace that junk wall wart Lepy includes with a 12V 5A power supply that will eliminate the clipping and cut off at high volume levels. That's what I did. ASIN B01461MOGQ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01461MOGQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1The Lepy also likes high input levels. The Fosi DAC (ASIN B07VDQQY95) was initially purchased as a headphone amp, but it pairs nicely with the Lepy. The photo here is the Texas Instruments version of the Tripath chip (TPA3118). I've had it for 2 years and I LOVE IT! But a recent remodel of my office had me relocate the amp and speakers. In the process, 2 of the speaker clips broke. This amp is currently on backorder so I purchased the Tripath version as a backup while I upgrade the old Lepy. However, they did not send what I ordered! They sent another Class-D. I'm not complaining. That's what I really wanted anyway. I will replace the spring terminal clips in the original Lepy. The TI chip also operates on 12 to 24 volts. At 24V the chip pumps 50 watts per channel but does require a heatsink.Another misconception is that Lepy is a cheap Chinese knockoff. Look at the Kinter reviews of bad solder joints, misaligned components, and poor quality components. The original Lepai reviews show mismatched screws, misaligned case components, and poor quality components. Lepy may be a Chinese knockoff, but China is the world leader in manufacturing. These are very well made! Many of the problems listed here can be alleviated by simply upgrading the power supply. With that, you'll have an audiophile quality amp for $50 that fits in the palm of your hand! For those that have static or noise, you have a defective unit that should be replaced. If you want to attempt to fix it yourself, pick up a can of DeoxIT Fader. Make sure it's Fader as that has the lubricant in it. Open the amp and give a little squirt to the volume and tone control knobs and spin each back and forth a few times. That should correct it. If you need to purchase DeoxIT, get the 2 pack that has the regular contact cleaner and Fader. You'll find dozens of uses for them. Does not use a Tripath TA2020 IC as advertised!
This amp does not use the Tripath TA2020 IC! Do not buy this is if you think this is the same thing as the Lepai LP-2020A+. Search for 'Lepy 2020A vs Lepai 2020A+', and you'll see that these amps actually used an overstamped Yamaha IC. I bought 3 of these amps thinking they were functionally equivalent to the Lepai LP-2020A+. They are not. I already have a Lepai and did a side by side comparison, and both the sound quality and volume output of this amp is noticeably worse.

OK for bench testing purposes, not for regular listening.
This thing hisses and whines like a bucket of snakes! It's okay for bench testing some audio applications, but listening to it for a bit more than a couple minutes hurts my ears. I got exactly what I paid for, but didn't expect it to be so audibly noisy.

Low performance
Read a glowing report on the amplifier at a web site that featured product reviews. Read and followed the rather skimpy instructions. Tried to turn it on, tried to amplify the signal. It never worked, never turned on, never amplified anything. No stars here.
