Great book. Pathetic quality control.
Love the book but the binding quality is pathetic. Obvious quality control issues. Will be returning as this was purchased as a gift.

Excellent product for the kids
My son and his wife have four month old twins. He likes to read stories to the nightly and thus was one of his favorites when he was little. Perfect gift for the perfect price.

A treasure
Beautiful quality book, with the proper illustrations by E.H.Shepard.This would make a perfect gift for a small person's special day, but I bought this for me.My daughter can still recite Half Way Down, and she is nearly 50...These poems and stories were part of my childhood too, and so I've made this sentimental purchase.Sometime you just have to celebrate your past.Great value, and excellent quality book.

Not suitable as a gift
Buyers should be aware that these editions, often purchased as a gift, come with the price printed on the cover. It is hard to imagine who could possibly have thought that would be welcomed by the average purchaser.

Should be separate books
The quality of this single volume is clear, and the full pages are perfect for displaying the lovely illustrations. However, it's a large and heavy tome, so not well suited to being held by small children, nor by most adults for that matter. Bearing in mind this book is likely to be ready at bedtime, rather than at a table or on a lap, then it very quickly becomes very heavy, especially when read lying down next to the child.

Some people talk to animals. Not many listen though. That's the problem. - A.A.Milne
Whether you are already familiar with Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and the rest of the gang, or would like to meet them for the first time, this is a great book containing all the stories. Most of the chapters can be read as stand-alone adventures, as the books were originally brought together from previously published individual stories. Having said that, seeing as this book contains the whole collection, if you are new the Winnie-the-Pooh then you may as well read through from cover to cover. It is true that this is a fairly big, heavy book. No problem to read at home, but for reading on the go or small children it may be too much – if so consider a smaller set, but don't miss out on A.A. Milne's classic!

A Future Heirloom
It is a large volume, beautifully presented and the superb illustrations by E H Shepard. Wonderful stories which my younger granddaughter loves having read to her but at the same time following the words and illustrations page by page. It will take time to complete the stories but it gives her a break from electronic gadgetry.
