After getting over the initial shock of the "sell-out" connection with WEA, most fans will be glad they did. Where the band's eponymously titled 2000 album saw them attempting to recapture the moral high ground by aping the straight-ahead hardcore sound of the early 1980s, Indestructible is a return to the eclectic mix of their own breakthrough album And Out Come the Wolves. Thus "Red Hot Moon" and "Memphis" are melancholy, Clash-marked ragga-grooves, "Arrested in Shanghai" and "Back Up Against the Wall" are melodic pop-rock, while "Out of Control" and "Born Frustrated" are screaming punk assaults. Their politics, naturally, remain sound, as evinced by "Ivory Coast" and the anti-violence anthem "Spirit of 87". If there's one surprise, it's that Tim Armstrong so dominates proceedings. Then again, having been recently rocked by the death of his hero Joe Strummer, then split from his wife halfway through the writing/recording process (the break-up is covered in "Tropical London"), it's certain he had plenty of subject material. --Dominic Wills

What can I add, this is by far their best and most varied album, very good melodies and lyrics, from the fast and fury of indistructable to laid back arrested in shanghai and everything in between ....If you liked 'out come the wolves' and 'life won't wait' than you won't be dissapointed!!This record is a breath of punky fresh air

In assoluto il mio disco preferito dei rancid. I dischi all'interno sono due, in buste separate. I dischi sono entrambi neri e ogni busta ha il riepilogo dei brani più dei commenti scritti da Tim.Spedizione puntuale è ottimo imballaggio

Ich war ja so gespannt was mit der neuen Scheibe so los ist...Normal (wenn man davon sprechen kann) ist es ja,bei den meisten Bands, so, daß zuerst sowas dreckig-schnelles rauskommt und man danach lernt mit seinem Instrument umzugehen und wegen der wachsenden Komplexität, die Lieder zumeisst melodischer und auch ruhiger werden.Nicht so bei Rancid! Nach Rancid 1, "Let's go!" und "...out come the Wolves" (alles geniale Alben) wobei eine Weiterentwicklung deutlich zu hören war, kam das "Experiment" "life won't wait"- eine (für Rancid-Verhältnisse) ruhige Platte mit viel Ska und sogar Reggae-elementen. Dann kam der Hammer, die Schwarze! Neben der "Troops of Tomorrow" von Exploited, DIE Punk-Definition! Wenn mich meine Enkel in fünzig Jahren fragen werden: "Opa was war denn Punk" werde ich eine der beiden Platten einlegen.Und jetzt????Tja "Indestructable"!!! Unzerstörbar, ja aber wieder ruhiger, weniger straight, aber dafür schön!!! Sie errinnert an "...out come the wolves" oder "let's go" und eins sei (zur Beruhigung :o) gesagt: Tim kann immer noch nicht singen!!!!Abwechslungsreich (mit Ballade!!!!!!!!-fantastisch!!!) und rockt gewaltig!!! Gegen die "schwarze" ist sie allerdings sowas wie ein Lullaby und ich kann sie kaum hören, wenn mich alles so richtig ankotzt.Um jedoch die letzten Sommer-Sonnenstrahlen mit einer Dose Bier in der Hand zu geniessen, ist sie sehr geeignet!!!Nicht umsonst fünf Sterne!!!

Was für eine Rückkehr!
Rancid sind zurück - und wie!Direkter, harter Punk, Ska-Elemente und sogar eine Prise Pop. Aber alles perfekt gespielt und inszeniert.Immer wieder lassen einen die Refrains ehrfürchtig auf die Knie fallen, um gleich wieder rhythmisch mit den Ska-Takten mitzuwippen.Fast jeder Titel hat das Zeug zum Hit, und das bis zum Schluss. Kein Hänger, kein Füller - Rancid halten das hohe Niveau locker durch.Nach "Out come the wolves" das mit Abstand beste Album von Rancid!

Youpi, on a un son en sucre.
Voilà, c'est sucré, pop acidulé, Jennifer ayache est passé par là... Non, je déconne. Mais ça aurait pu. Remplie de chansons efficaces, il n'en reste pas moins un goût de questionnement quant aux envies de ces gaillards. Des frustrations qui auraient peut être été évacuées dans cet album trop mielleux: t'as l'impression que les mecs ont plus tourné au lait fraise tagada, qui aurait aussi tourné lui même et pas que dans une garden partie. Bref, pas l'album du siècle, mais bien celui qui a donné une nouvelle direction au groupe. Ce ne sont plus les darons, mais simplement des vieux qui recherche la jeunesse pour s'en foutre un peu plus dans les poches. Oups... je crois que je t'ai blessé petit keupon.

rancid... que dire de plus
ce nouvelle album etait tres attendu (par moi du moins)et rancid nous montre encore une fois que le punk est un style a par entiere mais un style tres varié. Cette album est peut etre plus personnel que les pressedant mais ca lui donne un petit quelque chose en plus. On peut decouvrir dans cette album differente facettes du punk et on peut dire que rancid maitrise parfaitement le street punk dans tous ces etats.un album a posseder si vous aimez le street punk.

ロッキングオンでの編集長が「完璧！」と豪語していましたが、そのとおりです。初期パンク、７０年も８０年も混ぜ込んだ歴史的名盤！！ランシドの不滅の魂がこのアルバムで伝わってきます。クラッシュを彷彿させるメロディに興奮せずにはいられません。ポップなバンドとは格がちがうことを見せつけてくれます。モヒカンの真っ赤なジャケも文句なし！！
