NAFOff Citronella Tag 2 pack

GREAT LITTLE PRODUCT. I USE THIS ON MY MARE WHO SUFFERS FROM TEAR DUCT PROBLEMS. THE TAGS WHEN USED IN COMBINATION WITH VASELINE (PUT AROUND THE EYES) KEPT THE FLIES FROM BOTHERING HER. (SHE WILL NOT TOLERATE A FLY MASK)

Purchased this to try on pony’s bridle headband to hopefully keep away flies in addition to using a spray fly repellent. There are two tags in the pack and the first one I am using still smells of lemon after a few weeks. It does seem to work as she is not being bothered by flies on rides out even along forest/wooded trails. I keep the bridle in a bridle bag and the lemon smell is quite strong when I unzip it.

Bought 2 packs at once and 1 set of tags were a lot smaller than the others. Not sure why. Good effective product that I hang from my horse's rug, but you do need more than 1 on at a time. Having said that they last for 4-6 weeks.

I bought this as my pony had a wound on her leg that I couldn't use a topical repellent on due to broken skin. It did work (plaited into her tail) but not as effective as I had hoped. I think attached to a head collar it works better but only for the head.DDefinitely not something to solely rely on.

I use these on my horses bridle and rugs, however, I also used them this year on the rabbit hutch by fastening them on the outside of the doors and they worked really well.

I purchased this item after using various other insect repellents on my 2 ponies none of which seemed to make any difference to them. I attached a tag onto each of their head collars as directed and waited!! The following day during my morning check I noticed that one of the tags had broken in half (no doubt by the pony rubbing his head!) making it useless. The other pony still had his tag attached although his face was still covered in flies!! He is still wearing it after a few days and it has not made any difference at all - but I have kept it on as I am still hopeful!!Wish I hadnt bothered wasting my money!!

The two horses wearing the tags seemed to have much fewer flies on their faces than the other horse with no tag, so I was pleased with the effectiveness. However, they fell off after about a week and were never seen again! I just attached them to the ring of their halters using the self-attaching loop/hole that is built in to the tag. It seemed pretty secure, but apparently I should have used some kind of other method to braid it into the mane or something. Right now we are just keeping them in the barn during the heat of the day and turning them out at night.
