Great sockets, good value.
These are good sockets, well worth getting. They’re very easy to work with, take solder well, and seem to be well built.

High quality
These are really high quality. They hold the banana plug firmly but not too tight that it’s irritating. They’re easy to attach and the exterior-facing plastic covers look good. Only areas to improve: they’re a little long, and the hole at the end to attach wires through is pretty small.

Decent solder type connectors
I needed a couple of 4mm banana jacks to replace broken plastic ones on a light fixture. These have a nice metal jacket that provide better structural support than plain plastic, and you get a bunch of them shipped to your door for very little money. The center conductor terminates in a very heavy solder terminal that looks like it'll carry quite a bit of current. Unfortunately, the terminal is chromed and thick which makes it very difficult to get it hot enough for the solder to bond without applying heat for so long that the barrel melts. It's not impossible but there's a very thin margin of success with these terminals. In hindsight I could have improved my result by turning up the temp on the iron a bit and prepping the terminal by removing some chroming and tinning it in advance of soldering, but by the time I figured this out the terminals were already done. This may seem like a negative review but I'm really just trying to relate my experience. These are decent quality for the price and if I need more I'd buy them again.

Easy to install and stay in place.
Created a box to keep my O2 consontrator running longer with a LIFEP04 12V battery.Used the banana jacks to connect to a charger. They are used often and are still have a tight fit.

Tightest jacks I've used- good connection...
Banana plugs go very nicely into these jacks. Tight fit with plugs that wobble on other jacks. I like that they insert fully. Combined with the low profile of the jack itself, it makes for less protrusion in the back of my speakers. The downside is that these are not multi connectors so bare wire will not work at all. That's fine for me. I want good tight banana jacks.I had thought I might solder them but the lug is thick and so I used some female spade connectors. Very nice that way but you may have to open the spade a little bit with a small pry tool to get them started. It's true that the nut has no flats. I hand tightened it by holding the nut and twisting the jack itself. A quick tap with a small flat screwdriver on one of the slots gives a final cinching if needed - I didn't. It doesn't need much. Will buy again.Soldering does not look like a good proposition as others have mentioned. I could see threading a small screw into the hole for another mechanical type connection but the female spade is easy. Better for any future work as well.
