Great little addition to my custom car audio setup.
Installed this for my aftermarket Mekede M188L Android stereo headunit in my 1994 Cadillac DeVille.Mounted it to my steering column, generally in a similar place and angle to the turn-signal stalk that comes from the same general area. I used some electrical tape to temporarily hold it in place to my steering column to test it out for a week or so before I committed to drilling holes in my car to mount it permanently. This was a breeze to setup in my headunits settings area. I had to access the SWC (stands for Steering Wheel Control) setup area of my headunit and press the button on the touchscreen of my radio first, which would illuminate it and then I had to click the corresponding button on this device to link its buttons with which actions I wanted it to perform.I wound up just using the pre-labeled button choices that are printed in English on the device itself (next song, previous song, Vol up, Vol down, etc) BUT it is also noteworthy to mention that one could just make the buttons do anything allowable from your stereo. For example, the “Volume Up” button on this steering wheel controller could be changed to “mute” or “go to Home Screen” if one desired.I would not recommend this product for people unfamiliar with how to access these settings areas of Android (MUST BE android or WINce style headunits, NOT like factory OEM headunits or old style headunits that maybe seem to have a modern appearance but aren’t Android). Older folks who are not tech savvy will be lost in how this is to be installed as to the lack of clear instructions. For everyone who IS familiar with Android, the aftermarket headunit scene, or just confident and patient problem solvers, this is a GREAT addition to your custom audio setup.Physically, the item is made pretty well. All plastic construction and a adhesive label with all the markings for the buttons on the front in a professional looking presentation. Buttons feel much better than I expected them to feel. Obviously not high end, but not dollar store garbage either.I’m happy and it’s been installed and functioning perfectly and reliably for about a month

Works great, installation a little challenging
The controller works great once installed. The tape did not hold at all and I needed to screw it in. To do that you have to totally disassemble it and then try to screw the front side into the wheel, and then for the most fun part, trying to get it back together once it's screwed down. It's not incredibly difficult, but it would be nice if it attached to a plate that could be mounted. For the price though it's worth it.

Easy way to add Steering Controls with certain Stereos.
As long as the stereo you have has the 3.5mm jack to add remote controls this works great. I ran the wire down through the steering column to the stereo and stuck this just below the turn signal stalk. Programming it with my stereo (Sony XAV-AX150) was simple, and so far it has worked flawlessly. I thought about getting the little wireless button ones, but there was nowhere on my particular steering wheel to mount them. If I have issues with the tape staying stuck (fine so far) I'll put it on with the included screws. The tape is the good 3M VHB tape, so I don't expect issues.

Worked,I question the quality and durability
I have a Sony aftermarket radio that uses a 3.5 cable jack to connect to the radio. So i used a 3.5 cable with 3 wires, 1 ground and 2 inputs. When I connected the wires to this controller I matched red to red and black to ground.Works well, but I used bolts to reinforce the installation. If you do use the included screws, be careful opening the housing, the rocker switches will fall out if upside down. When mounting, make sure it’s flat so the top cover is able to snap together tight.

Nice factory look for aftermarket head units
Perfect for a stock look with an aftermarket head unit. Easy to install, you can use the double sided tape, supplied screws, or both to install. Red wire goes to Key1 on most units, and black to ground. Buttons have to be programmed via the head unit.

Happy chappy
Cannot fault item other than missing imternal bracket allowing fastening with screws. Had to redrill the holes in order to use rivits. Overall matches my vehicle color scheme perfectly, does not look out of place and works well on my Android Auto Kenwood stereo

I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised
I bought this on the basis that it looked "OEM" and didn't require any drilling to fit. It was bought in the *hope* that'd work with my aftermarket Sony head unit rather than *knowing* it'd work.It worked. It actually worked.I had to buy a suitable patch cable which wasn't from this site and I obviously won't list here (for Sony head unit owners, search JCK29-UCCAB-007 Sony Patch Lead), and solder the patch cable to the leads coming from this remote.(The patch cable is the lead that will plug into the back of the head unit as this remote only comes with 2 leads; signal and ground, no plug.)After plugging my frankencable into the back of my head unit whilst it was disconnected from the power (important bit of advice for Sony head unit owners, else it won't recognize the remote), and plugging everything else in, I powered it up. I was able to enter "steering wheel controller learning mode" and assign the buttons accordingly (in my case I assigned the mute button to "source")The whole process was a bit of a faff however if you're not afraid to do a bit of research to find the right patch lead then it's a pretty cheap way of adding steering wheel column controls to a car that doesn't have any.My only criticism of this product is that it seems to only come in left-hand orientation/installation only (unless an upside-down install doesn't bother you). Not a problem for most European and US cars, bit of a pain for Japanese vehicles

Works perfectly
I had to get an additional patch cable for my Sony headunit to interface this item with the mini jack "Rem" input on the stereo. Was a bit doubtful about the self adhesive install, but it's proper 3M and sticks like a goodun so far. Programming is easy on the Sony headunit and the system is 100% reliableGreat to have steering wheel control on my ancient '97 truck

Probably the most stock looking way to retrofit steering wheel controls
I bought this with mixed expectations to add steering wheel controls to my 2002 CR-V and have to say I am pleasantly surprised at the outcome having expected like most product f this type that it would have a bit of an aftermarket feel to it but it installs very neatly on the steering column and took very little time to install. If you are looking to add steering wheel controls to your car that looks remotely stock this is definitely the best product I have found out there. Installation instructions were also pretty good, just note that the install on something like this is always going to be more effort than an infrared or bluetooth option but the result is considerably better and if you have the right tools and some basic DIY skills it is not all that hard to do.

Does the job very well
I bought this to use with a Joying android head unit and it does the job very well. It had to be spliced into the wiring loom as there was no plug on either the head unit or the remote, but once that was done it was extremely easy to set up and the tape supplied seems to be strong enough that I haven't had to drill any holes to mount it. It feels a bit light and flimsy but that doesn't seem to affect it in use.
