It's made out of elastic.
Thought this product would be an actual proper scratch post and it isn't! It's made out of elastic, how is a cat suppose to scratch that type of material? Do not recommend.

Scratchers
These can quickly and are sturdy. Easy to fit but all 5 of my cats are not interested in them at all, so unfortunately it’s a big disappointment as they’re not cheap.

Simply unpacked and our cats went straight for the new scratchy post.Unusual material, it is elasticated for spring back.Was meant for the corner of the window, but decided to leave it on the floor.

Maybe a little pricey but it’s a quality product. Looks great in my living room and the cat is happy 🙂
