Finally A Boating Bathroom Product Thats Works And Makes Your Lower Cabin And Bathroom Odor Free.
Best smelling toilet deodorant on the market. I also let my boating friends try it on their boat Porta-Potties and fixed heads, and after they tried one tablet, they called me to find out exactly what the product name was. I had been using the Thetford Aqua-Kem product for over 20 years and it was an effective product; but it really stinks and smells up the bathroom and lower cabin area with a terrible product odor. When my other friend called me last week and said that his toilet was full and he didn't do a pump out for almost 2 months and it didn't smell at all with this product, I knew that I had latched onto another great product that I will re-order on Amazon. I paid 12.99 for the product in June and the price went down to 6.99 for the same exact product in the month of October. Buy it and store it in a cool dry place for use in the next boating season.Update 6-22-16: This product still works great, after my downstairs cabin was closed up for 6 months with no smell of the previous boating season (I live in the Midwest near Lake Erie). Four more of my boating friends now use this product after using Thetford Aqua-Kem for years, like myself. I handed them a few of my extra packets and I can't say enough good things about this product. If you store the extra unused packets on your boat, double bag it in Hefty plastic freezer bags.To use: I added 2 liters of fresh water along with one packet that dissolved in less than a minute. The water turns blue in your freshwater flush portion of your head, but it DOESN'T smell.

Bio-blue more pleasing to the nose than other potty treatments
I've been using Bio-Blue Toilet Deodorant for most of the past seven years. I'm a commercial truck driver, and I often get stuck parking for the night at customer locations where toilets are either unavailable, or locked. I've carried a Passport Potty for these situations, and ended up using it nightly to save hikes across dark truck stop parking lots. (I wrote an Amazon review of the Passport Potty a while ago.)I used Bio-Blue until Wal-Mart stopped carrying it, then switched to the other brands Wal-Mart carried, and began looking for another source of Bio-Blue. I finally found Bio-Blue again at Amazon. Bio-Blue is also less expensive than the other brands I found in my area.Bio-Blue is packaged as dry granules in small, dissolving pouches. This is ideal when you're traveling, because all of the liquid products I tried leaked if the bottles fell over (and in one case, while still upright.) You drop one packet into the toilet with a small amount of water (to allow the wrapper to dissolve before you use the potty.) My potty was a small model so I'd use one packet about once a week, so one box of Bio-Blue usually lasted me a complete tour on the road. Open the box and there is a ziplock-type bag inside which protects the contents from accidental water exposure. Bio-Blue used to come in a small white plastic tub with just the packets inside. I saved a tub and I transfer the bag into the tub. You might find it in the tub rather than the box shown in the picture.I've tried a number of products, and all of those other products call themselves 'waste digesters'. These do their job, but they also produce very smelly gas as a byproduct. When you flush a potty, a certain volume of waste enters the tank and displaces a like volume of air back into the environment. When that environment is a small, enclosed space, the results are not pleasant.Bio-Blue is a deodorant, not a digester, and so it does not produce those extra odors upon flushing. I never really noticed any difference in the waste I was pouring out of my potty, other than the color and the reduced smell for Bio-Blue vs the other (digester) products. Note that even Bio-Blue won't make a potty's waste tank smell like roses if you are silly enough to stick your face in the bowl while flushing. Emptying my potty indoors can stink up the bathroom no matter what product I use, but the Bio-Blue-treated waste was less of a stink problem than the digester-treated waste. Still, it's always better to find a free RV dump station.

Works well for about 3-4 days
I needed a portable potty for voiding only, since we have a lot of people living in one house with only 2 bathrooms. Hey, a girls gotta go if a girls gotta go.I bought the reliance hassock porta potty through walmart online and along with it came 2 sachets. I used them up and ran out. I looked them up online but they were double the price on the reliance website and on ebay. I looked them up on amazon and much to my surprise they were 50% cheaper. I used amazons free shipping trial and voila, I received my package within 2 days of purchase.Needless to say, these things are highly recommended. Just pour about 1-2 inches of water in a garbage bag, drop the sachet inside, wait for 2 mins and everything should be peachy.Like I said, it seems good for voiding (urine) only which seems to last at least in my experience, 3-4 days before it finally smells like how it should.

good product
We have a small portable toilet that is bacicly a 5 gallon bucket that sits inside a larger container and there is a toilet lit that fits on top of the 5 gallon bucket. There is a removable cover that goes over the toilet lit and contains a space for a roll of toilet paper and then there is a cover that goes on top of all this and mates up with the outsie larger container. We like this form of bio-blue as it is easy to use and easier to take along than a bottle of liquid. One has only to toss in a pouch of bio-blue and it controls odor well so that it is not necessary to empty the portable toilet until one is ready to leave the weekend camp site and head home.
