I purchased this item for a lady friend of mine, that quite frankly can produce an odour that can only be likend to a long dead dead fox that has been marinated in the contents of a colostomy bag with a tinge of mustard gas.I’m not sure if their effectiveness on her rancid red ring of death, as I fear my sense of smell has been irreparably damage, however the cats have not shot out of the lounge like someone’s just doused their genitalia in deep heat and chilli sauce, which I’m taking as a positive sign, unless they have been afflicted with the same nasal disabilities as myself.I can however confirm that the have no sound deadening qualities at all, they still sound like an asthmatic troll is ripping a sofa in Twain !

They functioned as described, but what really disappointed me was the build quality, if that's the right word. The fabric was pulling away from the seams within two days of buying the product. This is not good enough for something that was so expensive. I doubt if they'll last six months...
