This is a great overview of the hedge fund industry - strategies, structure, start-up, and evaluation. I learned enough to realize that I probably don't have deep enough pockets to be a hedge fund manager. As it stands, the best way to make a large fortune in hedge funds is to start with a small fortune!The book is surprisingly current, with most references going back to 2020. So, worth the price. As they say, you pay for the good stuff!.

As someone who spent the majority of my career working in the hedge fund industry, I highly recommend this book. It provides a straightforward and well-organized primer on various hedge fund strategies, how funds are organized, who invests in them and why, etc. It gives a comprehensive overview of: What exactly is a hedge fund, who invests in them, what do hedge funds invest in, what has their performance been, etc. Excellent reference to keep on your shelf!

If you are looking to learn more about the hedge fund industry and the mechanics behind many of the most popular strategies, this book is a must buy. It's a great introduction into the world of hedge funds and equips the new investor with the knowledge needed to invest with confidence.
