L'OR BARISTA Sublime Coffee Capsule Machine
I’m really happy with the L'OR BARISTA Sublime Coffee Capsule Machine by Philips, especially in the striking red finish. This machine is a fantastic choice if you want café-quality espresso drinks at home without any fuss. One of the standout features is its ability to brew either two single espressos at the same time or a double espresso in one cup, thanks to the exclusive L'OR Barista double shot capsule system. The dual capsule recognition technology is genuinely clever—it automatically detects the capsule size and adjusts the coffee settings, so you always get the perfect cup whether you’re using a single or double pod.Using the machine couldn’t be easier. Just pull up the lever, pop in your capsule, and choose from three drink sizes—ristretto, espresso, or lungo—at the touch of a button. The 19-bar pressure system ensures you get rich, aromatic coffee with a beautiful crema every time, and the adjustable drip tray means you can use anything from a small espresso cup to a tall mug for your morning coffee. The water tank holds 0.8 liters, which is enough for several drinks before needing a refill, and the pod bin is easy to empty and holds about 10 used capsules.I love how compact and stylish the machine looks on the counter, and the red color really pops in any kitchen. It’s also available in other shades if you prefer something more understated. The build quality feels solid, and it’s surprisingly lightweight, making it easy to move or clean around. There’s an automatic shut-off feature for safety and energy savings, and cleaning is simple with removable parts like the drip tray and water tank.Another big plus is the versatility with capsules. While it’s designed for L'OR single and double shot capsules, it’s also compatible with Nespresso OriginalLine pods and many supermarket alternatives, so you have a huge variety of coffee options to choose from. The machine comes with a starter pack of nine L'OR capsules, so you can try a range of flavors right away. The only thing to keep in mind is that it doesn’t have a built-in milk frother, so if you love lattes or cappuccinos, you might want to pair it with a separate milk frother. The machine can be a bit noisy during brewing, but it’s quick—your coffee is ready in under two minutes from start to finish.Overall, the L'OR BARISTA Sublime is a brilliant, user-friendly machine that delivers delicious espresso drinks with minimal effort. It’s perfect for anyone who wants great coffee at home, whether you’re making a quick cup for yourself or serving guests with ease. If you’re looking for a reliable, stylish, and versatile capsule coffee machine, this one is a fantastic choice.

Superb value
Bought as a replacement for a Nespresso machine that sprung a leakAt £55 this is an absolute bargain!!! It takes Aldi brand Nespresso pods. I particularly like the XXL pods, shame Aldi don’t do them! The machine is well made and much quieter than the actual Nespresso machine. The reservoir is a good size as is the bin. I can not fault it!!!

Well, what a lovely machine!!!
Well, what a lovely machine, very well designed and beautifully made! Absolutely fantastic coffee from my normal Nespresso standard pods (it does take the larger pods as well). So simple to use, fill up the 1ltr water container, place a pod in the receptacle and pull the lever down and press the required button…(Ristretto, Expresso or Lungo - and double strength available on each flavour also) Early days, but a great machine for £98.00 (on offer) Packaging was great as well! 👍👌💥 Excellent

Standard pods are small
This is a nice looking machine and works well although slim you need quite a lot of room for it due to the positioning of the water tank. It is also quite loud.Having had a tassimo machine with the larger pods for years I thought it would be nice to try something different hence a nespresso compatible machine. However, one thing to take into account is the tiny amount of coffee that comes in a regular sized pod. Unless you like tiny cups to half fill a decent sized mug with a brew that you can taste even with milk and a water top up you're going to need at least 3 regular pods on a longer expresso setting. The xxl pods are fine but not as easy to get and more expensive per cup but then if you're going to use 3 standard pods the xxl one are better value.

Excellent value!
Excellent value considering it was technically a used item. Only the outer box was used and the actual machine inside still had the sticker seals attached. It was clearly never used before.Machine works perfectly and looks very smart. Works great with Starbucks pods

Really Good Machine
Not a fan of Philips products but I bought this on a black Friday deal and I really love this machine, it makes a really decent coffee and takes all Nespresso compatible capsules. It has three button functions from ristretto to lungo. Easy to use, clean and maintain. Tells you when you need to do a descale and if you need to refill water. You have to download and print off the FULL instructions which seems to be the norm these days, ok for people with smart phones/pcs and printers, but not great for those without. Being Philips made it probably won't last that long as their products I have ever had just aren't made to last, but I would have no hesitation on buying another one of these when it does decide to give up the ghost.

Makes great coffee
Not had any problems with this machine. It has worked perfectly with any Nespresso compatible capsules that I have used, from many different suppliers, and I can't fault it.It is a nice size and fits on the kitchen counter exactly where I wanted it to and is really easy to use, almost plug and play simple! The only slight grips is that, when emptying the old capsules, the container can be a bit fiddly but that is really minor.Overall, a great machine, at a great price.
