Looks and smells delicious

Does NOT smell of Vanilla.Even from the outer box, the packaging the unpleasant odour was apparent. Once opened to the inner box, the vile pungent chemicals waged full assault. Revolted and honestly confused I persevered to the candle within.Had it smelled of beautiful natural vanilla extract, I could probably have overlooked that the candle had the appearance of a large block of Parmigiano Reggiano. However, while it was not as ferocious smelling as the box it came in, it smelled painfully strong of insecticide, or some kind of chemical preservative… whatever makes that smell - it’s NOT vanilla.I couldn’t touch the awful thing, my hands were tainted just from opening the box. I couldn’t bear to be anywhere near it, it was painful and horrible to have to smell.I had to ask my husband to bag it up and take it out into the garage until I decide what to do with it.I’d like my money back but I cannot bear to go near it again to tape it up.Also - apparently I would have to pay the return postage - having been disappointed and offended by it, I think I would rather just put it straight in the bin.Out of balance, I would like to add:The shape and size were not at fault. Perfectly adequate and as expected.Though this does not smell of vanilla and may in time, strip the paper off your walls, it would make a very efficacious passive aggressive gift for a work colleague you hate, or a perhaps a despised relative that you never intent to visit.N.b. I didn’t try lighting it, so i don’t know whether it actually was a powerful insect repellent that was mis-labelled 🤷‍♀️

Burn time is amazing and the smell fills the whole room. Would recommend.
