Live Beneficial Nematodes Hb+Sc+Sf - Kills Over 200 Different Species of Soil Dwelling and Wood Boring Insects. (5 Million_Nematodes)

Arrived promptly. Because I am a nerd and saw a couple reviews concerned they had just bought grey dust to put on their plants, I took out my microscope. I can witness they are alive and well! and I am excited to see my plants benefit.

We introduced them to our potting soil and the area around our work area and porch and fungus gnats haven't been a problem since.

Used it in my back yard. It was easy to apply and effective. It took awhile, though. It was still a good value.

I have a garden in my basement. I originally started out in hydroponics and decided to see how I could do with a "soil like medium" in a grow bag. A number of months after I started this project I noticed some small fly's (I think fruit fly's). Over the weeks they got to be significant and I was looking for ways to get rid of them. I hung the sticky fly catching strips and tried other methods (no pesticides) and nothing was working very well. When I saw the NaturesGoodGuys beneficial nematodes Hb+Sc+Sf 5 million Nematodes I decided to give them a try.I have never used nematodes before so this is what I did and I don't guarantee what I did is correct. You get the small packet of nematodes packed along with a bag of melted water (not sure but it is a liquid). That was put there to help keep it cool. The instructions say it is normal for it to be melted when you get it. But upon receipt I put it into the refrigerator (their instructions). I think the next day I filled a 2 L watering can about 4/5 full of water and put in the contents of the packet of nematodes. It just looks like brown powder. I then used my watering can and applied some to the top of the dirt in each growing bag. I was not sure how much to use so I started being conservative and when I had added it to all the growing bags I went back and tried to give more equally to all the bags. The instructions say to keep the "dirt" moist but I didn't change my watering habits from the schedule I was following before adding the nematodes.I have two pictures attached to this review. The first is labeled "Before" which is a fly catching strip that had been hanging for about 2 weeks BEFORE I used the nematodes. The second picture is labeled "After" and this picture was taken exactly 16 days AFTER I applied the nematodes. I think you can see there are still some fly's but there are way fewer then there were before. This is noticeable by just standing around the plants. I don't think I noticed much of a difference for about a week and then it seemed like the number of fly's was going down.It is unfortunate but bugs get into your home no matter how hard you try. I wanted to do something to get rid of them without using any chemicals. So far I call this experiment successful. If you have a bug issue (different solutions for different bugs) then you should consider NaturesGoodGuys beneficial nematodes Hb+Sc+Sf. It will be interesting to see if the fly population will continue to go down of the coming weeks. If I have something relevant to add I will update this review in the future.

I love to combat problems organically. It's been 30 days and I've noticed a difference.

Very concerned if they are still alive as when I opened the package shortly after arrival the ice packs were both totally melted, hot to the touch as well as the packet containing the nematodes was hot to the touch. I expected to see something moving in the packet but nothing moved at all.I immediately placed the packet with the nematodes in the fridge. I plan to apply them with the sprayer later today but really think this is probably a waste of time and money. If things do a turn around I will increase my rating but at this point, I am not a happy customer.

It is a great value for the money and is extremly effective. We orderevery year and no more grub problems

I don't know if it worked or not. How do I know whether the grub killer really killed the grubs? I first found the grubs when I pulled out another plant. I put the dirt from the old plant through a mesh screen to get rid of roots, rocks etc. That's when I discovered about 30 grubs in that dirt. If I had not rubbed the dirt through the screen, I would never have noticed the grubs -- they blend in with the dirt, but don't fit through screens. Now I have planted another plant there, and so far it's thriving, but not growing very fast. I've used the Nematodes on it, but I don't want to dig around the dirt to see if the grubs are gone or not -- don't want to disturb the new plant. I only used one of the Nematode enclosures so far, but will do the other one in early September. I have no idea if I have other grubs all over my yard or not.
